People in Cybertown can hold virtual jobs, go a virtual mall, have a virtual home in a number of theme-based neighborhoods, etc. Cybertown provides both 2D and 3D formats for interaction among its virtual citizens. http://www.desktopstarships.com/ Desktop Starships: This site is a sizable and varied image collection by a wide group of artists. The work presented is set a numerous environments including Star Trek, Star Wars, original science fiction and original fantasy. A selection of spacescapes is also included as are website and email links to most of the artists on this site. http://directoryscifi.com/ DirectorySciFi: This site contain numerous links to science fiction and fantasy artists as well as other science fiction and fantasy related topics. http://www.artships.com/ John Douglass: This artist does original and colorful kit-bashed spaceship models. His work has appeared at a number of science fiction/fantasy conventions. http://www.feymanshipyards.com.com/ Michael Bower Putman: This artist does original spaceship models set in the Star Trek universe. His kit-bashed model images includes action-filled space backgrounds. http://www.finseth.com/ Craig Finseth: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of science fiction and fantasy landscapes using the Bryce program. Some of his images reference literary works in the science fiction and fantasy genres and others are based on his own science fiction and fantasy visions. His site also includes a selection of my early work and describes a number of publications I have created during the 1990's. http://www.futurebydesign.org Jacque Fresco: This industrial designer and futurist does models of futuristic buildings and vehicles. His vision depicts an utopian future where cities float on the sea serviced by a variety of VTOL aircraft. His ocean-going ships are also quite interesting. http://mateengreenway.com Mateen Greenway: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of spaceships using the 3D Studio Max program. He documents well known vehicles from such SF media as Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who, Space Above and Beyond, Space:1999, Project UFO, various British Marionation TV shows, the role playing games Traveler and Space:1889, etc. He also does wonderful depictions of fan based starship designs for Star Trek. http://shipyards.relicnews.com Homeworld Shipyards: A large collection of 3D/computer

designs remind me of the work of SF artist Chris Foss. http://www.seansgallery.com/ Sean Kennedy: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of spaceships and related items using the Light Wave program. He documents well known vehicles from such SF media as Star Trek, Star Wars, 2001, Aliens, and Bladerunner as well as presenting some of his own unique designs. He also does computer art using Microsoft Paint. His other subject matter includes portraits, human figures, ship interiors, and comics. In addition, Sean has contributed artwork to my website. http://seri.sakura.ne.jp/~kentsuku/ Kentsuku: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of spaceships using the Light Wave program. He documents well known vehicles from such SF media as Star Trek and also has a good collection of works based in his own science fiction environment. http://www.geir.org Geir Lanesskog : This artist does 3D/computer generated images of science fiction and fantasy artwork. Most of his science fiction images are set in his own unique and well thought-out science fiction universe. His universe is described in essays focusing on the history, levels of technology, and belief systems of various branches of humanity located in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way galaxy. His work has interesting parallels to my own and I see him as a kindred spirit. He uses Bryce 3D to create his images. http://www.angelfire.com/il2/zvr/ Zac Lowing: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of spaceships, futuristic aircraft and futuristic architecture along with a wonderful variety of other artwork based on science fiction, fantasy and abstract themes. The sheer number of areas this artist works in is inspiring. He uses these programs to create his artwork: Bryce 3D, Kias Power Goo, Poser2, Adobe Illustrator 8, Adobe Photoshop 5, and Picture Publisher LE. http://www.dlspace.de/ Dieter Ludmann: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of spaceships
using the Corel Dream 3D , Realsoft Real 3D , and MetaCreations Bryce
3D programs. Many of his extraordinary designs are set in the Perry
Rhodan science fiction environment. His work features interesting use
of form and color. http://www.bambam131.com David Robinson: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of near future interplanetary spaceships, robot probes and space stations using Bryce. These quite realistic designs remind me of the vessels in the SF movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. http://www.robotnut.com The Robotnut Collection: A wonderful site containing images of and articles about all sorts of toy robots. Of special interest to me are the two galleries of digital art by Ken Netzel. http://www.starships.com Edward Rowles: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of spaceships using the Ray Dream Designer and Ray Dream Studio programs. He documents spaceships from the SF media and rocket scientists of the 1950's. His images capture the innocence and wonder that the 1950's era had for space travel. http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org Bernd Schneider's Star Trek website: This site includes many ship designs set in the Star Trek environment. A special feature of the site is the Starfleet Museum created by Masao Okazaki; an interesting collection of original spaceship designs set in the era before the original Star Trek TV series. Both 3D/computer generated images and 2D images of spaceships are presented including some quite intricate insignia work. Another part of the site is the Advanced Starship Design Bureau containing numerous original Star Trek ship designs by various 2D and 3D artists. http://www.coletteodya.smith.net Colette Smith: This artist does realistic and symbolic landscapes using traditional paint media, mostly watercolors. Her work references Baha'i themes of search for the truth and spiritual struggle on the one hand and her own intense love for the natural world on the other. http://www.spaceseekers.com Dan Spears: This artist creates truly unique 2D and 3D CGI science-fiction artwork set in his own Space Seekers universe. He has a wonderful eye for color and is not afraid to experiment with different techniques and graphics programs. Many of his spaceship images have a dream-like quality I find very compelling. http://www.merzo.net/ Starship Dimensions website created by Jeff Russell. This site consists of scaled images of starships and related space-going machinery from many well-known science fiction and science fantasy universes. The ships are shown in a variety of scales making it easy to compare them with others that are much larger or much smaller. http://www.bisbos.com/rocketscience/tta/index.html Terran Trade Authority website with information about the TTA role playing game as well as an extensive gallery of spaceships and related objects set in the TTA universe. The Terran Trade Authority was the background for a series science fiction books put out in the late 1970's featuring the spaceship art of such artists as Jim Burns, Peter Elson, Colin Hay, Bob Layzell, Angus McKie, and Tony Roberts. http://www.jeanvouillon.com Jean Vouillon: This artist does 3D/computer generated images of spaceships using the FormZ program. His spaceship images are set in his own science fiction environment inspired by the Terran Trade Authority books of the late 1970's and early 1980's. http://www.jtwart.com James T. Wappel: This artist does paintings of fantasy and science fiction themes using traditional and computer based media. He has quite a variety of work ranging from astronomy art, to wolf paintings, to Celtic images and drums, to portraits of the main characters of TV shows such as Star Trek, Babylon 5, and X-Files. He also has created collections of spaceship line art based in the Star Trek and Star Blazers environments. http://www.starcruiserchronicles.co.uk Graham Watson: This author presents his science fiction stories in an easy to read online format. http://www.kwstarships.co.uk/ Kevin Williams: This artist does 3D/computer generated images based on science fiction and fantasy themes using the TrueSpace program. His work ranges from spaceships to aircraft to aliens to landscapes and interiors, etc. His work is set in his own science fiction and fantasy environments though I believe some of it has been done for the gaming industry. http://wittswallpapers.com Terry Witt: This website includes a sizable collection of 3D/computer
generated images based on science fiction and fantasy themes. Not only
are there sections for popular SF media such as Star Trek, Star Wars
and Babylon 5, but there is also a good collection of original speculative
spaceship and space station designs. Some galleries of interesting spacescapes
