COMMENTARY

Starship Leviathan has existed in some form since 1983. It is the speculative spaceship design I have developed the most over the years. Since the inauguration of my website in 2001, it has been the most popular design I have ever posted. Thus, I have made this special gallery for those versions of the vessel prior to its current incarnation as Interstellar Exploration Vessel Leviathan. Many of these illustrations come from the 1996 self-published book, A Visitor's Guide to Starship Leviathan, where I spent as much effort describing the society onboard the ship as I did depicting the vessel itself. For more images of and information about the latest version of the Leviathan, please see the Interstellar Exploration Vessel Leviathan gallery.
